For now I added a few plates to the wall to try and make this corner feel a little happier.. Chris asked me when I was going to get the bowl of hard candies to go with all of my plates on the wall.. Whatever, Chris.I used some paint stripper on the top to remove most of the old finish.
Honestly, that was a big giant mess and I still ended up having to sand it down a whole bunch.Next time, I’ll probably just suck it up and sand the whole thing.It would probably be easier, actually.
It got the job done though!I used Minwax early american stain on the top.
It turned out a little darker than usual because there was still some reddish color on the wood, but I like the end result.
The bottom part is done in a regular semi-gloss paint in Martha Stewart Picket Fence.I know you’re all super busy right now and I really appreciate you stopping by to see me today.
